Begin your overland journey toward Altai Tavan Bogd, Mongolia’s most scenic national park (approx. 5–6 hrs). The road leads through wide valleys and dramatic mountains, passing nomadic families along the way.

Start your trek into the heart of the Altai Mountains (approx. 16 km). Ride pack camels or hike alongside your support team toward the Potanin Glacier, the longest glacier in Mongolia.

Spend the day exploring the Potanin Glacier and its stunning surroundings. Hike around the foot of Malchin Peak (4050 m), one of Mongolia’s “Five Saints” peaks.

Trek back to the ranger station (approx. 16 km), enjoying breathtaking alpine scenery and the company of your local Tuvan horse guides.

Visit the nearby Tsagaan Gol petroglyph complex (4 - 5h hike), a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with Bronze Age rock carvings of hunters, animals, and daily life. Return to camp to rest, journal, or simply take in the views of the snow-capped Altai peaks.

Meet the Kazakh eagle hunters. Upon arrival, settle into your family ger stay and get your first introduction to eagle hunting culture.

Experience the Golden Eagle Festival, a spectacular display of skill and tradition. See the opening parade, where hunters showcase their eagles and costumes, followed by contests of speed, precision, and partnership.

The final day brings the most thrilling competitions, eagles racing from 

mountaintops, horse games, archery, and cultural performances. Celebrate the champions and enjoy a festive farewell dinner.

Return to the city and spend your final full day exploring — visit Zaisan Hill, the National Museum, or shop for quality cashmere. Optional traditional Tumen Ekh performance in the evening. Farewell dinner.
