Itinerary

Morning: Depart Ulaanbaatar → Chinggis Khan Statue Complex

Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00 AM. Head east across the rolling steppe to the Chinggis Khan Statue Complex, located about 55 km from the capital.

This towering 40-meter steel statue of Mongolia’s legendary leader is an awe-inspiring sight and you can actually walk inside the horse! Take the elevator up to the viewing deck in the horse’s head for sweeping views of the plains.

Visit the museum inside the base, showcasing ancient Mongolian artifacts, and stop by the souvenir shop for handcrafted gifts.

Activity time: ~1.5 hours

Afternoon: 13th Century National Park

Continue your journey (approx. 1 hour) to the 13th Century National Park, an immersive outdoor museum that brings the Mongol Empire to life.

Enjoy a traditional lunch before exploring its themed camps, each representing different aspects of 13th-century life:

Craftsmen’s Camp
Herder’s Camp
Shaman’s Camp
King’s Camp

Activity time: ~3 hours

Evening: Return to Ulaanbaatar

After a full day of history, photo ops, and steppe adventure, relax on the drive back to Ulaanbaatar (approx. 2 hours).
